Coach Rogerio

16 Regional Blue Head Coach

I was born in Brazil and raised in Campinas, São Paulo, where I discovered my passion for volleyball at the age of 13 and played competitively until I was 21.

Inspired by Brazil’s silver medal in the 1984 Olympics and the legendary Karch Kiraly, I fully committed myself to the sport. As an Outside Hitter, I developed precise receiving skills that enabled the teams I played for to compete effectively against taller opponents. These formative experiences shaped my coaching philosophy, which emphasizes effective serving, disciplined passing, teamwork, a clear game plan, and resilience—especially for teams that may lack height. I strongly believe in building a solid defensive foundation and cultivating a mindset of persistence and determination on every play.

After several years supporting my daughter in club volleyball, I was excited to step into a coaching role. This opportunity reignited my passion for the game and provided a platform to share my experience and values with young athletes.

Volleyball remains a lifelong passion and continues to influence how I lead, tackle challenges, and support the growth and development of others—both on and off the court.

Play, compete, and have fun!

Coach Robert

 13 Red Head

I fell in love with volleyball watching my daughter play starting in
middle-school as every dad does. Noticing the coaches weren't giving the players inspiration or guidance. Not only as a player but as a person. I luckily got the opportunity to coach league volleyball for my daughter.
Bringing those views of what I didn't like so I can make sure everyone on my team feels good about themselves first. In return winning multiple seasons over 3 years. My mission is to run a program, build team culture, and inspire as I coach. Making sure the team never settles and strives to be better than they were yesterday. I am looking forward to coaching this 2025-2026 club season. Bringing my positive and motivational mindset. Focusing
on the fundamentals of volleyball and teamwork makes everything fall
into place, including winning as a TEAM.
